This Mandela Day was nothing short of extraordinary. We were deeply moved by the generosity shown to Yenzani, from groceries and electric appliances, to goody bags for the children, vouchers, knitted beanies, a warm lunch, financial contributions, and even a delicious cake to mark this special occasion. Mandela Day always reminds us of ubuntu and of the values our elders fought so hard to uphold. South Africa continues to be a place of deep community and compassion, and we are always so grateful to be remembered during times like these. The ongoing support from businesses and community members enables us to keep Yenzani a safe, nurturing haven for the children in our care, and for every child who will walk through our gates in the future.
We’ve shared the beautiful moments from Mandela Day on our social media platforms, so that everyone who couldn’t be with us in person could still be part of the celebration.
