Christmas greetings from Yenzani

Yenzani Children’s Home
wishes you a blessed Christmas and festive season, and a happy New Year!

Thank you for your support and generosity in 2016, and for helping us to provide a home, food, education, and family to all the children in our care.

Please continue to remember them during this season of celebration. If you would like to contribute towards our back-to-school costs for January, which is always a tough time of year for us, please email Sanne for details of how you can help.

Thank you again for being part of the Yenzani family. Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed year end.

Much love,

The Yenzani Team

P.S: We’re still looking for a board member to handle our marketing portfolio, If you think you fit the bill, please contact Sanne for more info.

This Child Protection Week, Meet Lerato

This Child Protection Week, we’d like to introduce you to Lerato. Child Protection Week has been commemorated in South Africa since 1997 and aims to mobilise all sectors of society to ensure the care and protection of children. And children like Lerato need care and protection.

Lerato is severely epileptic. Undiagnosed and untreated before she came to Yenzani, Lerato suffered brain damage and now needs special schooling. She is the sweetest girl, and despite her significant mental challenges, she does her very best and enjoys her time at school.

Lerato’s special school is a long way from the Yenzani house and her transport is one of our biggest monthly costs. As we commemorate Child Protection Week from 29 May to 5 June 2016, we’re asking you to help us to get Lerato to school every day and to help us to do our best to care for and protect her, her two brothers who also live at Yenzani, and as many other children as we can.

This Child Protection Week, please consider making a donation to Yenzani…
